Rotary Club of White Rock–Peace Arch

Rotary is a community service organization of business and professional people united worldwide to help serve and build peace and goodwill in the world. Rotary's motto is “Service above Self". In more than 34,000 clubs worldwide, you'll find members volunteering in communities at home and abroad to support education and job training, provide clean water, combat hunger, improve health and sanitation, and eradicate polio. The Rotary Club of White Rock Peace Arch is serious about actively supporting our community. Major events like the Rotary Run allow us to fund community programs. Below is a list of some of the programs our club has initiated and/or supported:

Wheelchair accessible playground at Redwood Park
Children's Playground at South Surrey Athletic Park
The Centennial Clock at White Rock Beach
A Children's School in Kenya
The Running Track at South Surrey Athletic Park
The Surrey Search & Rescue Auxiliary Coast Guard (new boat and navigation equipment)
A variety of programs, youth exchanges and scholarships for different local high schools including the Arts Theatre at Earl Marriot High School
Funding to the automotive, culinary, computer & music programs at Semiahmoo Secondary School, and
Funding for “Feed the Needy” program at Tamanawis High School
